Charles (Chuck) M. Benefiel
May 6, 1933 - May 27, 2006
In May of 2006 our appraisal company was saddened by the death of founder, Chuck Benefiel, after a lengthy struggle with cancer.
Chuck was in the real estate appraisal business for 45 years. He spent 20 years as a Staff Appraiser with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 8, San Bernardino, CA. He had a Life Teaching Credential in real estate and taught residential real estate appraisal courses at local colleges for 14 years.
In 1980 Chuck started Benefiel Appraisal Service, then located in downtown San Bernardino, through which he passed on his expertise in the field by mentoring several aspiring appraisers and partnering with many others.
Jey E. Younger, III (Chuck's partner at Benefiel Appraisal Service for 15 years- see profile) is now at the helm of our office. We hope to honor Chuck's dedication to the appraisal business by maintaining his high standards for accuracy and customer service here at Benefiel Appraisal Service.
